Edmonton Ice Castle

Edmonton Ice Castle
Hellooooooo ice. Here’s me at the Edmonton Ice Castle looking like a 60s girl group member meets 90s skater. And I’m into that. The jacket I found last winter while thrifting. When it comes to vintage coats, I gravitate towards anything quilted. This shouldn’t come as a surprise if you’ve been hanging around here for a while. Anyway, here are some frosty photos of me. WHAT TO EXPECT
The Edmonton Ice Castle can get pretty busy during peak hours – the weekend in general. If you’re able to go during the week, it is much calmer. Since that’s not always realistic for everyone I suggest booking an early time slot to ensure a quieter experience. It’s much easier to take photos when there are less people milling around. Though, the castle REALLY pops when it’s lit up at night. And there’s a slide and numerous nooks / tunnels to check out.
OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER
Even on a warm day it’s very chilly in the castle so dress accordingly. Since the castle is located in a park, there are indoor bathrooms at the nearby pavilion.

EDMONTON ICE CASTLE
It goes without saying that the castle is a seasonal spectacle open during the winter season in Hawrelak Park. Since the schedule changes every year, I would recommend checking out the Ice Castles website for more details.
