Fresh off a plane from Palm Springs, I headed down to the coliseum in my favourite leather fringe to see Rihanna on the ANTI World Tour. I find that wearing a special piece of clothing helps to set the tone for the evening. Plus everybody knows that fringe moves magically when you’re dancing! And dance we did. Travis Scott started off the evening by getting the whole arena warmed up. Rihanna followed with a truly inspiring set alternating between new songs and the beloved hits from past albums. The costumes felt inspired by Mad Max meets Jedi realness. Between dancing with my pals I was already trying to figure out how to recreate the looks in my everyday life.

5 TIPS FOR ENJOYING SUMMER CONCERTS
SHOW UP ON TIME
This seems pretty obvious, but it’s amazing how quickly time goes by when you’re catching up with your pals prior to the concert. Plus, it’s nice getting situated before the event begins!
BRING EARPLUGS
I can’t think of many things that are worse than leaving a concert with your ears ringing so loud that it’s difficult to hold a conversation with your friends. This is easily avoided by wearing earplugs. Bonus – silicone earplugs are both comfortable and reusable.
MERCH FIRST
If you want a souvenir, upon arrival ALWAYS make the merch booth your first stop. There are more options available at the beginning of the night. You’ll have your first pick rather than settling for a t shirt that wasn’t your favourite.
PUBLIC TRANSIT
Save yourself the frustration of driving around trying to find parking and take the subway/bus to a concert. Many times this will end up being much easier than trying to navigate the traffic post show.
