Stevie Nicks Thrifted Halloween Costume
Happy Halloween dearest spooky friends! It’s been a couple of years since I’ve put in a solid effort to create a costume but this year it’s as though the look found me. Originally, I was sifting through racks of thriftstore delights hoping to find a creation that would evoke the essence of the world’s most famous groupie, Miss Pamela Des Barres, but as the items kept presenting themselves… it was apparent that Stevie Nicks was to be my muse. No complaints here! She’s an absolute musical genius and I have always been inspired by her use of velvet and flowing fabrics. Keep scrolling for some witchay woman inspiration! Here is my Stevie Nicks Thrifted Halloween Costume.

The Outfit Breakdown
TOP HAT & FEATHERS
The top hat, admittedly, is a little misfitting and required a toque stuffed in it to fill the excess space. The ostrich feathers were from an old Klondike Days outfit that lost its feathery flair along the way.
BLOUSE & SKIRT
The velvet top jumped off of a rack to find me. It’s lace detailing on the back was a real nice touch. A skirt with flow was essential to create a witchay vibe, one that could be whipped and swirled a la Stevie Nicks stage performances. I think I nailed it.
BOOTS
This whole look is thrifted… minus the boots which I purchased on a whim from Nordstrom’s rack a few years ago. They are THE PERFECT Stevie Nicks and I knew one day they would come in handy.
The Makeup Look
I know it’s cliche to say you’re obsessed with something… but truly, the is an obsession. I love the nude shadow, Windsor, for everyday. For this look, I used Windsor as a base shadow, then layered Foix, Castille, Alnwick in the crease. Montaillou for my top lash line and Dover for the lower lash line. It created this warm smoky look. All of these listed cosmetics have been in constant daily use, although in less quantities than this shoot. I do not leave home without my – it’s is easy to apply, especially since the crayon is angled, and it comes with a brush! I like to use it after I have applied the .
