A 70s Sears Wishbook Wishlist
I can’t think of a better way to spend a snowy afternoon than flipping through a 70s Sears Wishbook. It’s both parts bitter and sweet. All the things I wish I could order in the present day. But also gawking over all the flammable material that would never pass safety codes. What’s life without some calculated risk? Depending on the design, I would definitely risk it for the right polyester dress. Do not use me as an example for exemplary risk assessment. I am a menace. Let’s let the photos speak for themselves.

MY #1 WISHLIST ITEMS
My future plans in three steps:
1. Get a time machine
2. Order all these things from a 70s Sears Wishbook
3: Live my best vintage life
Here are a few shots from the catalogues that I just HAD to share:

VINTAGE BARBIE
The toy section was by far my favourite part of the wishbook! Barbies from the 1970s are badass and I was fortunate enough to actually own a few dolls from this era thanks to garage sales. That ken with the wild hair and the brown gingham shirt? We had that along with the giant campervan and a few of the blow up furniture, specifically the living room set. Do I still have them now? Sadly I do not so I must live vicariously through the catalogue now.

I never knew I needed a shopping cart charm for my charm bracelet until now. And I will not rest until I have one.
