Road to Nowhere

It’s no secret that my priorities when in Arizona are as follows: In-N-Out burger, thrifting, and getting lost looking for absurd roadside attractions. What can I say? I’m a lady of habit. Sometimes even the nothingness of the desert can be surprising and beautiful all on its own. This time around it was a road to nowhere littered with discarded tires. Naturally, I needed to take some outfit photos.

SNAKE HUNTING

A tumbleweed rolled by while I was checking discarded tires for snakes. Though it has now been brought to my attention that the winter weather is much too cold for the snakes to be out comfortably.

VINTAGE THRIFTED ARMY JACKET
Little did I know that when I thrifted this army jacket on this trip it would become a staple in my closet. The combination of spaciousness and lightweight material makes it a perfect throw on layer for the desert. I wore it at Saguaro National Park, and in numerous other style editorials. 7 years later and it’s still a staple.

ROAD TO NOWHERE
A road to nowhere wouldn’t be complete without a rogue tumbleweed rolling by which I did get to see. Sadly, I did not document it. My deepest apologies.
Until next time!

Love these photos, the minimal nature is such a cool backdrop!
