Lush Cosmetics West Edmonton Mall
If you haven’t heard of Lush by now, you must not like ethically made natural cosmetics that are minimally packaged and avoid testing on animals. Or perhaps you know it by scent alone from walking near one of their stores. Either way, I’m elated to digitally escort you through the opening of the Lush Cosmetics West Edmonton Mall location.

The New Lush Location in WEM
Though they have been a main fixture within WEM for many years, they have moved from a tucked away corner to a main thoroughfare. In January they officially opened their new MASSIVE location.

While massive might even be an understatement as they went from 650 square feet to 2600. I’m no real estate agent, but my rudimentary math tells me that’s four times the space for dreamy products.

Sink Stations to Try Before You Buy
Beyond the spaciousness of the store, the best new feature in my opinion is the multiple sink stations peppered throughout the shop floor. This allows customers the ability to try before you buy. I love being able to sample products before committing to them especially in such a laid back set up! (Lux Beauty Boutique also has a sink inside for this very purpose.)

The Lush Spa
Did you know there are Lush Cosmetics spas? I was fortunate to visit the London Oxford Street one when I was in England last. As for Canadian locations, there is one open in Vancouver now. Fingers crossed this makes it way to the prairies someday soon.

In the meantime, here are a few of my tips on how to make your home more spa like.

Overwhelmed By Choice
As a maximalist, it seems counterintuitive to even be uttering these words but the wealth of choice is overwhelming. Whenever this happens, I tend to focus on key scent notes that I adore as it helps cut down on the noise. My nose is naturally drawn to musky woody scents and anything patchouli.

The Best Lush Products
Lately, my favourite products have been It’s Raining Men, Let The Good Times Roll, and Charity Pot. This triple threat when paired together has kept me from my usual misery of having reptile skin over the winter months.
Lush Gorilla Perfume
Step right up folks and take a chance on the Lush Gorilla Perfume line! The labels look like they would fit right in at a carnival and I wouldn’t want it any other way. My maximalist eye is drawn to the chaos of the old timey looking designs. That, and the product is longgggggg lasting. Both Tramp and Lord of Misrule are phenomenal, if you like patchouli that is. I have a whole blog section devoted to fragrance by the way.
Lush Cosmetics WEM
It’s no surprise to find out that their most popular products are their bath bombs as well as their skincare – they both have a whole wall and a sink station devoted to each of these lines. There’s nothing quite as satisfying as dropping a fresh bath bomb in to water!
Head on down to West Ed to see it for yourself!
