Now open in their new bi-level location, LUX Beauty Boutique is back and better than before. If you’re a cosmetic enthusiast, chances are you’ve made this place a second home. Let’s take a tour inside the new space.

Where is Lux Beauty Boutique

Located in the High Street shopping nook, LUX has curated a collection of beauty products that far exceed your expectations. Each item is handpicked and brands need to be exceptional to be carried here.

Lux Beauty Main Floor

On the main floor, one should expect to find an array of beauty products to test out and admire the packaging of (everything in this store is attractive). I highly recommend swanning around and doing a lap of the shop before stopping at each delightful brand.

Lux Beauty Downstairs

Downstairs they’ve set up a beauty lounge for soirees, bridal parties, and tutorials. The space gives off a decadent feeling since the furniture, which is all vintage, is brass and velvet; my heart be still.

Brands Lux Beauty Carries

Expect to find cult brands such as Jin Soon nail polish (my current favourite – check out my Cobalt blue nail polish post).

Or he highly rated and raved about Ouai (their dry shampoo is supposedly a god-send). And the hard to find Lipstick Queen (easily the best pigmented lipsticks out there).

Another service LUX offers is their 4 Seasons Boxes. Once you purchase a subscription, you fill out a short survey and each season you receive a customized beauty box. HOW COOL IS THAT? More info on that HERE. (Sadly this has been discontinued.)

Local Edmonton Beauty Brands

They even carry two Edmontonian brands so you can doubly shop local: sweet scents from (now discontinued) My Daughter Fragrances and handcrafted eyelashes from Creme de la Creme.

It’s worth noting that Pura Botanicals, a local skincare line, has a store just around the corner from Lux as well!

Men’s Toiletries Section

Not only is it an great place for the ladies, they also have a section for your main man as well. This includes shaving supplies, soaps, colognes, skincare, and more.

Try Before You Buy

One of the things I adore about this store is their commitment to making sure you love the products you’re buying. A nice feature they provide is a sink station so you can try before you buy much like Lush Cosmetics. (Check my posts on the newly opened West Ed Mall Lush or the flagship Lush in London.)
