Maven and Grace
At my favourite end of Whyte Avenue there’s a wondrous little shop full of antique treasures, fresh flowers, and the best. chocolate. EVER. This little slice of heaven is called Maven and Grace.

Where is Maven and Grace
Since originally posting this shop tour, Maven and Grace has moved east down the street about one store over from the above photo. Take Care Cafe and The Weekly are now in its former location. Be sure to pop by Take Care for an exceptional matcha!

The Design Maven Behind Maven and Grace
Kathy Sharp, the owner, has a magnificent eye for well designed pieces and curates the shop with an eclectic assortment of goods spanning the decades.
The Maven and Grace shop is constantly shape shifting with new items being added continuously. This boutique is one that you should visit weekly as things come and go as quickly as cherry blossom season.

What You’ll Find in Store
Not only does Maven and Grace carry an ever changing array of antique furniture, they sit alongside contemporary brands. Like any good general store, there’s several different departments within the shop such as food & beverages, apothecary, stationery, homegoods & cookware, a florist, and jewelry.

Candles and Incense
Through Maven and Grace I have discovered a few candle and incense brands that I cannot get enough of. The first one being Sydney Hale & Co. Their home fragrances are UNREAL.

Another brand with which I have become unreasonably enamoured with is Astier de Villatte. Their incense and candle line is based on different locations around the world. My favourite probably being Tucson which should come as no surprise since I love Arizona so much and also made a full Tucson Travel Guide.

Lastly, Zinagaro. a perfumery out of Victoria British Columbia. Their cone incense is wildly good, Basilica is a personal favourite. The scent is reminiscent of a church censer with notes of frankincense and sandalwood.

Maven and Grace Floral Arrangements
Edmonton has been a difficult place to find a certain style of floral arrangements but thankfully Maven and Grace has filled that hole for me. They’re always stocking the most gorgeous, hard to find blooms and greens.

Not only do they make custom arrangements but there’s also a selection of premade bouquets as well.

Small Batch Cosmetics
There’s a perfect balance of old and new offerings. Displayed perfectly atop stunning antique furniture are the lines: Pura Botanicals, Province Apothecary, and Sydney Hale Co. Those are just a few options from their selection of boutique beauty goods. Woodlot is another Canadian brand I cannot get enough of. Their candles I am constantly burning and even featured in my 10 Ways to Make Your Home More Spa Like.

Enamel Cookware
Riess is an Austrian enamel cookware company that was founded in 1550 that is carried at the shop. Each piece comes in various delightful colours that are worthy of being on full display in a kitchen. In additional to these pastel dreams, there are other hard to find housewares brands.

The Chocolate Selection
COMPARTES is a Los Angeles based chocolate company with arguably the best packaging of all time. Besides the cute exterior, it’s on my top 5 best chocolate bars I’ve had to date. As far as I know, this is the only place in Edmonton that sells this brand. Any chocolate hound needs to head here immediately.

Vintage Bits & Bobs
No home is complete without an unexplainable vintage chachki. A stranger’s trophies, brass animals, industrial spools, or a cluster of lucite grapes.
Maven & Grace Edmonton
This gem of a shop is easily in the top 5 best boutiques in Edmonton hands down. Do yourself a favour and head on down there if only to browse. Just perusing the treasures is inspiring because of the way they style the items.
