TIFFANY & CO WEM OPENING
Last Thursday I had the privilege of previewing the new Tiffany and Co in WEM. Located in Phase III, now open to the public, is the most lavish jewellery store in Edmonton. A quarter of a million dollar Tiffany crystal chandelier greets you upon entering the store and the decadent details don’t stop there. Gold flaked sconces, hand painted murals, and of course their timeless wares are what awaits you.

THE COLLECTIONS
My favourite pieces were from the Ziegfeld Collection, which were inspired by (and featured in) the film The Great Gatsby. It’s a roaring 20s flapper dream!
WORTHY OF HOLLY GOLIGHTLY
This new location is a spot worthy of Holly Golightly’s admiration. And despite what I think of Truman Capote (a man who, like his character Paul Varjak, also stole stories from the women in his life) Breakfast at Tiffany’s is still a cinematic classic. I would watch it for the costumes alone! I channeled my inner Holly Golightly when getting dressed for the Tiffany’s Holiday Party.

Just remember, nothing bad could ever happen at Tiffany’s! As far as I’m concerned this phrase still reigns true. Not only were guests spoiled with champagne and appetizers from Elm Cafe, they were even sent home with a keepsake: a necklace from Tiffany’s Atlas Collection.

That Gatsby collection is amazing!
Damn, I need to go there and stare at the diamonds. And then go home and wallow in self-pity for not being rich and hence able to buy the diamonds. It's a vicious cycle.
