Tom Ford Soleil Collection
The sun has finally come out to play! But rather than lay around tanning, I’ve been creating a bronzed glow with the Tom Ford Soleil collection. It’s a much less time consuming (and skin damaging) option to get a great glow.
Between the Bronzing Primer & Powder I’ve been giving off the illusion of having spent some time on the southern coast of Italy or France. And to top it off, adding a bright pop of colour with the Ultra Rich lipsticks.
Here are a few of my favourites from the Tom Ford Soleil Collection.

Scent of the Italian Riviera
Tom Ford’s fragrances are high on my lust list. Patchouli Absolut is the perfect patchouli scent in every way imaginable (in my opinion). Perhaps one day I will pull the trigger and get it! (UPDATE: it’s been discontinued and I am gutted!)
Neroli Portofino Acqua is my first perfume from the house as they kindly gifted it to me. The scent was crafted by the nose Rodrigo Flores-Roux.
Typically, citrus isn’t a note I gravitate towards but in this incarnation, it works for me. The perfume is a great balance between citric acidity and spiciness. Lemon, bergamot, and petitgrain are the notes right off the top. They then blend into the richer mid notes of neroli and orange blossom.
Finally, the base notes are white musk and amberwood. Since it’s the acqua variation, it’s much lighter than the original. Though I won’t be in the Italian Riviera anytime soon, at the very least I can be transported there with this scent.
The Face
The Skin Illuminator is like liquid gold glow and I cannot get enough of it! Without a doubt it’s one of the most user friendly glow products I’ve come across. Precision is not needed when applying as it provides a dewy golden glow. And a little goes a long way. The Soleil Glow Bronzers are my second favourite. Not only are the lacquered compacts gorgeous with an excellent sized mirror, the powder is pigmented and light on the face.

Moisturecore Lip Colour
The moisturecore line is for those who want a subtle but creamy tint to their lips. This is what I imagine someone on a impromptu yachting excursion would have in their straw tote for an effortless look.
Scandola / Pipa / Carriacou / Cala di Volpe

Ultra Rich Lip Colour
The Ultra Rich lipsticks are just exactly that: ultra rich in colour. They’re both extremely pigmented but with a shine – no fussy matte colours here! Aphrodite, a bright raspberry pink, is probably the most bold of the shades. It’s also the one I’m wearing in the photos!

What I’m Wearing
In this post I’m wearing the Bronzing Primer in which comes in an amazing bottle with a pop up top that travels well. The skin illuminator in which I like to apply on my face, neck, shoulders, etc because it gives a very subtle shimmer. Sheer Cheek Duo in Bicoastal. Ultra Rich Lip Color in Aphrodite ( Revolve Around Me is the first nude I’ve found to be actually flattering on my skin tone so expect to see it A LOT this summer).
Effortless Summer Makeup
As this was my introduction to the Tom Ford makeup line, I cannot say enough good things about it. In addition to looking lovely after application, the products also held up during a full day of wearing it. And this is a small thing to note, but I think still important, the packaging is EPIC. Square shaped lipsticks are the best. Not only do they NOT roll away when you set them down, they also don’t wind up when they’re in your bag. Nothing is worse than discovering your bullet lipstick has smooshed into the cap while in your bag.
