Kevin Murphy All About Me
Kevin Murphy All About Me is a newly launched feature on their website that allows customers to find the products best suited for their needs – a hair prescription if you will. Naturally, as a super fan of the brand, I had to check test it out myself so I filled out the survey to discover what my suggested personalized routine would be.
My past experience with Kevin Murphy products has been overwhelmingly positive. Their products do what they say they’re going to do, they smell amazing, and it usually doesn’t require a lot of skill to achieve the results I’m looking for.

DRY ENDS & SCALP
I thought with my strange combination hair of partially damaged at the end with blonde (hello ombre!) with a tendency of dry scalp (ugh) and a side of slight greasiness, surely this will be a challenge. In addition to that, my hair is also naturally wavy which I like to use as an excuse to constantly have “beach hair.” This version is where I allow it to air dry and brush it occasionally. Are these bad habits? Probably but this “routine” makes for one less thing on my list of tasks to tackle in a given day.
KEVIN MURPHY SHAMPOO / CONDITIONER
THE PRESCRIPTION
MAXI.WASH
This is a detox shampoo that helps with the…. dandruff… and is used as a pre-wash.
BALANCING.WASH
The wash helps strengthen my damaged hair while still cleaning it.
HYDRATE-ME.RINSE
A plum infused conditioner seals in the much needed hydration on my damaged tips.
BLONDE.ANGEL.WASH
Lastly, a purple tinted shampoo every couple of days to help tone out the brassiness in my blonde.

AIR DRYING HAIR
The second half of my prescription were the styling products most suited for my lifestyle. Hairdryers, especially in the summertime, do not factor into my hair rituals. It’s warm enough out that I just let nature do the drying. This saves me from A LOT of heat damage caused by hair tools.
