Trying Out Burt’s Bees Makeup
I’ve always enjoyed a Burt’s Bees lip balm but today I’m putting the rest of their cosmetics to the test. Join me trying out Burt’s Bees makeup while chatting about one of my worst jobs I’ve ever had! If you’re familiar with my Instagram account, maybe you can already guess what company I’m talking about. 🕵️ But in more important news, Burt’s Bees is pretty rad and I may or may not have discovered some amazing dupes for Glossier!

THE BEST BURT’S BEES MAKEUP PRODUCTS
Without a doubt, Burt’s Bees makes some of my all time favourite skincare products so I was hopeful about their makeup line. As a whole. I was impressed overall. If I had to pick a top three, the first would be their lip products, more specifically the Matte Stick Lipstick. It’s so similar to the Glossier Generation G matte lipsticks but much more affordable and readily available. Second to that would be the cheek sticks. They are a bit on the greasy side but once you get them applied, they melt in nicely. Thirdly, and finally, the gold eyeshadow in the trio. The pigmentation on it was UNREAL! I wish it came as a single shadow.
PRODUCTS USED
As I mentioned in the video, the colourway names are THE BEST. The eyeshadow trio is called Dusky Woods which is exactly where I would like to be hanging out. Or the Gilded Sage eyeliner! Maybe it’s because I’ve become enamoured with learning about the gilded age which makes the word play even more enjoyable. We’ll never know! See below for the complete list of the products I used.

I tried my best to include as many Burt’s Bees products as possible but sadly could not find any brow products. Hopefully one day I will get to try those out and complete this review. In the meantime, here’s what I subbed in:

TRYING OUT BURT’S BEES MAKEUP
That concludes my review of Burt’s Bees Makeup Products that I was able to get in Canada. I’m curious to see how the line develops in the future. Especially if there’s more colours added to the Matte Stick Lipsticks.
