Back to School Style
Though I won’t be attending any classes this fall, I still love the idea of Back to School Style. The kind folks at West 49 asked me to style a back-to-school look with a few pieces of my choosing. So this was the outcome. Since retiring my skateboard in high school, I haven’t been to West 49 in a number of years. To my delight, they have since expanded the women’s section ten fold. While I did momentarily consider investing in ANOTHER oversized plaid flannel shirt in the men’s section, the overwhelming choices in the ladies section drew me in. I cannot say enough good things about the Element denim!!!

MIXING VINTAGE WITH MODERN
One of my favourite ways to build a look is pairing modern pieces with beloved vintage items. Tapestry purses just scream autumn to me and this one from the sixties brings me oodles of joy. Also finding vintage shoes in good condition (that are also your size!!!) is like spotting a unicorn.
