LINGER AT TALIESIN WEST
You may remember from AGES ago my epic drive from Toronto to Edmonton and how a Frank Lloyd Wright house was on my must-see list in Chicago. Thanks to an art history class I attended in university, I began my love affair with architecture. Which is how I found myself here, doing a little linger at Taliesin West, the summer school and home for Frank Lloyd Wright. His designs are very soothing with the natural elements and the contraction/expansion into each room. I could pack up my exploding closet and record collection and set up camp here. Grainy sand finding its way into all my belongings is something I could get used to. Unbeknownst to me, his colour of choice was red which I coincidentally was rocking that day for our tour. Kindred spirits I’ll say.

I just read a fascinating about Wright and the murder of his common law wife and her children at Taliesin. I always wanted to visit there as well.
