Married by Elvis at the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel

Married by Elvis
The Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel
My sister, after having a Halloween Wedding, had us all head down to Vegas so she could then married by Elvis at the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. Quite frankly, I’m happy she did it. This wedding chapel was like stepping into the past – my favourite thing to do. Though flying to Vegas RIGHT after the first party was difficult, I guess Vegas is the place to be when nursing a wedding hangover. Keep scrolling to see how the second “big day” went.

ELVIS SERENADES THE BRIDE DOWN THE AISLE

Elvis whisked my sister down the aisle while crooning the whole way. It made for an epic entrance and his gold shimmery blazer was a real nice touch. After the ceremony, the couple’s names were featured in lights on the billboard outside. Class all the way!

POST WEDDING DRINKS AT PLANET HOLLYWOOD
The reception, if you can call it that, was at the Planet Hollywood. We didn’t go there for the food but rather the All You Can Drink happy hour offer. Needless to say, we were feeling great when that concluded. I then convinced everyone that dinner at In-N-Out would be the right move.

IN N OUT BURGER WEDDING DINNER
The one issue with attempting to go to In N Out in Vegas is that the burger joint is not close to the strip. Sahara Ave is quite a trek from the Planet Hollywood. We grabbed cabs and headed over for an amazing meal.

Even the fast food restaurants adhere to the intense sign lighting that Vegas is infamous for. Never have I ever seen such a tricked out In n Out sign but I dig it.

THOU SHALL NOT HAIL CABS
After we ate, we were essentially stranded because of the whole no hailing cab rule in Vegas. What is up with that? (FYI there are NO taxi stands at In n Out.) But it was all worth it as clearly evidenced by the photos.
A VERY VEGAS WEDDING
Halloween in Las Vegas is wild so we fit right in with our costumes and unhinged behaviour. The only thing that would have made the evening perfect was if Elvis had joined us. Oh and if we were transported back to Vegas in the 60s.
