APC Shoreditch Store Opening
Hello friends! I know I said I was going to be making myself scarce these next few days but I managed to sneak in some fun. If I had time for that then I surely must have time for a post. Feeling a little bit fragile today possibly due to smoke inhalation or perhaps gluttonous consumption of free beer but most likely a combination of both. Last night I went to the A.P.C. Shoreditch store opening in East London and it was nothing short of wild so let’s get into what transpired.

APC SHOREDITCH STORE OPENING
We walked up to a mob scene – people were spilling out of the mini-boutique right into the street. There is nothing I love more than a street party especially when the DJs are spinning hits of the 90s and there is complimentary drinky-poo’s on hand err…. in hand? hah. It was so well attended that the shop couldn’t accommodate the turn out.
Me, Sandy Joe, a few free drinks into the evening and feeling just as blurry as this photo looks.
Emilia and the infamous Nimrod Kamer. He introduced by saying: “My name is Nimrod, like the Green Day Album.”
SHOREDITCH PARTIES THAT END IN FLAMES
It was all well and good until someone decided to set a car on fire around the corner on Ebor Street. Despite the party being open air and outside at this point, we were still smoked out. The smell of burning rubber is definitely a buzz kill. I took a few shaky photos on Josh’s point & shoot that I still don’t know how to use. (I really should have brought my DSLR but carrying it around can be a pain.) Then beat a hasty retreat when the ashes and water started blowing on me. Safety first of course!
The flames naturally drew a crowd. The only thing missing was Talking Heads Burning Down the House playing.
SHOPS ON REDCHURCH STREET
I find myself wandering down Redchurch often – it is just down the street from my flat after all. But I’m also addicted to the baked goods Albion has on offer daily…. and their scrambled eggs / lox dish. My route inevitably brings me by the APC store because Aesop is next door and always have a bottle of their unbelievably gorgeous cream outside which I never miss the opportunity to enjoy. Who knew tangerine and sandalwood could be so intoxicating? I urge you to smell their ASAP. Anyway, that’s enough excitement for now. Toodles!

WOah that made for some memories!! I don't blame you about the buzz-killing smell of rubber though- too bad about that one! >.< Hahaha- considering I didn't recognize one song that came on, I'm thinking it was serious hard-core dad rock!!! xD And what was particularly hilarious was that he thought he was really jiving the whole time, bopping his head. LoLoL.. ;P x
