GALVIN AT WINDOWS
To mark the end of my residency in London, we went out to Galvin at Windows for my final meal. It was unsurprisingly a delightful dinner. I was fortunate enough to be able to sample a smattering of the exquisite treats from Jash’s place of employment. We took his point-and-shoot camera (I didn’t want to cart around my DSLR which I regret now) that took less than spectacular photographs. These were the best of the bunch. scallops on a bed of razor clams and samphire (sea fennel)
foie gras and a butter toast heart
(live with a chef & get coerced out of being a vegetarian)
smoked salmon with crab, fennel, caviar, and pickled ginger (pretty much amazing)

GALVIN AT WINDOWS
I would highly recommend checking out Galvin at Windows if ever you are ever in the neighbourhood – if only for a cocktail. The view is impressive. It’s possibly the closest you’ll get to a panoramic view of the entire City of London (without having to ride the dreadful eye.) From Wembley to Buckingham Palace, the Isle of Dogs, and all of the landmarks in between. The sights are definitely mirrored by the quality of food and service. My glass was never empty, my seat miraculously pulled out whenever I stood up, and my stomach uncomfortably full when I left.

Wow, the food looks absolutely amazing, especially the scallops! I do sometimes eat at nice places, mainly in Knightsbridge but I have forgotten the names! The views look absolutely incredible, I live right near Canary Wharf in the background! The street photographed in the first picture looks vaguely familiar, where abouts was it taken?
