Buxom White Russian Collection

The recent limited edition Buxom White Russian Collection has just been launched and I am trying it all out. There are four main products which include an eyeshadow palette, highlighter, lipstick and classic lip plumping cream gloss. Keep scrolling for a full breakdown in both my YouTube video and photos. 

WHITE RUSSIAN PALETTE

These were the first Buxom eyeshadows I’ve tried and I was pleasantly surprised. The texture and blendability was good; the shadows feel very creamy. Also in the palette were two blushes s were the two blushes in somewhat similar shades. One was a lighter pink and the other a darker rosy pink. Not the most versatile shades in terms of working for multiple skin tones, but I wouldn’t describe the palette as inclusive in general.

WHITE RUSSIAN HIGHLIGHTER

The sumptuous highlighter creates a delightful pink sheen and smells of vanilla. It could easily be used as an eyeshadow as well since it’s quite pigmented. I adore Buxom’s clear packaging for their highlighters and blushes, it reminds me of makeup from when I was a tween in 90s/2000s.

BUXOM XTROVERT MASCARA

The stout Buxom Xtrovert mascara in Xtra Black is one of my favourite mascaras. The classic bristley wand catches all of my short lashes and thickens them without flaking or getting crusty. 

WHITE RUSSIAN LIPSTICK & GLOSS

The White Russian lipstick has a pinkish hue to it in comparison to the plumping gloss which is a creamy whitish pink more akin to the beverage it’s named after. Both spread easily and evenly, the lipstick in particular is a satin finish but you can make it shiny with a top coat of the cream gloss. Buxom originally began as a lip line so their lipsticks and glosses have always been hero products. As such, they do not leave the lips dried out nor do they wear off fast.

Buxom White Russian Collection

My only regret I have was that I didn’t make a White Russian cocktail to drink while playing around with this collection. Then again, I don’t really drink and I haven’t had milk in YEARS. A plant based White Russian? The Dude from The Big Lewbowski would be so disappointed.
