With consumerism on the rise, I decided to Shop my Stash and revisit a few makeup products to see if I even like them anymore! Sometimes we get so distracted by the desire to acquire new things, we forget about all the amazing items we already own.

Thanks to this little exercise, I re-fell in love with more than a few things. There was also a disappointment, which is to be expected of course. Watch to find out and scroll to peep the products up close.

FACE

LAURA MERCIER – FLAWLESS LUMIERE RADIANCE-PERFECTING FOUNDATION

When it comes to foundation / concealer Laura Mercier has been on my top shelf for awhile.

Typically I will opt for a tinted moisturizer from her but for a fuller coverage, I like the Flawless Lumiere Radiance-Perfecting Foundation. Now that’s a mouth full! The name is much too long to remember off hand but that’s not a reflection of the actual product which is memorable. It gives a glowy finish that won’t leave me looking crepey. For those who prefer a matte finish, this isn’t for you.

NARS CREAMY CONCEALER

NARS Creamy Concealer is a reliable product that I have returned to over and over again. The formula is very much easy to work with for any makeup newbs and the doe-foot applicator allows for precision pin pointing of spots to conceal. It’s also long lasting. Finding my correct shade has been an issue though.

MAC STROBE CREAM

Everytime I smell this cream I’m immediately taken back to High School in the early 2000s. That vanilla-y scent is such a comfort. Besides that, I love the way MAC Strobe Cream creates a subtle glowy highlight.

Peachlite has a peachy sheen to it that I love but the Pinklite is the original colour that began it all. The third colour option is of course, Goldlite.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY FILMSTAR BRONZE AND GLOW

If you’re hesitant to go too wild with bronzer (like my pale self) this duo is a nice way to dip a toe in. I even like using the bronzer and highlight duo as eyeshadow. They’re soft and easy to work with, which is what I prefer. Products that require perfection to use are unrealistic options for me and my patience.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY BEAUTY LIGHT WAND IN PILLOWTALK

As much as I love these Beauty Light Wands I find that I’m never able to use them up before they go bad. Perhaps I’m not using them as often as I should but it always makes me sad when they begin to smell weird. The colour and formula are divine though which makes it so much sadder!

BOBBI BROWN POT ROUGE IN FRESH MELON

Bobbi Brown is known for their solid base products and the pot rouge is one of those. It’s a cream blush which can also be used as lip colour. And yes, if you’ve already figured it out…. I ADORE PEACH!

NUDE BY NATURE CASHMERE PRESSED BLUSH IN PINK LILY

Nude by Nature has SUPER pigmented blushes so a little goes a long way. Pink Lily which is very much peachy, is a lovely shade that has staying power. This is a drugstore line I highly recommend. If you want to dig deeper into the line, check out my Nude by Nature Makeup Review.

BROWS

Benefit knows what they’re doing when it comes to brows so I rarely stray from their line. As a person with minimal brows, having a waxy product like Ka-Brow it stays on throughout the day. I recommend a good oil based cleanser to remove it in the evening otherwise you can develop acne in the area from clogged pores.

EYES

URBAN DECAY NAKED RELOADED PALETTE

I will always have a soft spot for the original Urban Decay Naked palette, it came out during such an important time in my life when I was just getting started blogging. With that said, the Reloaded version has a colour story I LOVE but I wish the formula was easier to use. The shadows, despite putting down a base, would not blend well.

PIXI LARGE LASH MASCARA

I tried this mascara for the first time in this video but it has fast become a favourite. The applicator is a classic spooly one which are my prefered type. It doesn’t make my lashes clumpy and doesn’t flake at the end of the day. 10/10.

LIPS

Cle de Peau has the loveliest liquid lip formula ever!!!! It is so soft and silky. I topped it with an old favourite bareMinerals gloss. This lip combo has been in heavy rotation ever since this video.
