Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Collection
When I picked up that dusty pink mailer from FedEx, I knew it was going to be a good day. Of course I wasted no time and dug right into the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Collection. I’ve had the Pillow Talk lip liner for a long time and it’s been a colour I return to again and again.
Within this video, I try on ALL of the lip products as well as use the 3 Pillow Talk Palettes. Let’s just say, it’s a real Pillow Talk moment. In retrospect, I probably should have been shooting this video from bed.
Anyway, I’m still trying to find my new normal at this house so bear with me until I find a filming setup that works well. Keep scrolling for photos of the collection and links to all the products I used to achieve this lewk.💄

THE PILLOW TALK COLLECTION
It’s wild that an entire collection was launched because of a popular lipstick shade. Though the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. NARS created a whole line around their best selling Orgasm blush. And Pillow Talk seems like the slightly less horny / more demure version of Orgasm. Overt vs subvert in a sense because they both have implied meanings but one word is heavily censored and the other skirts by in a cloud of baby pink.
I digress.
If a particular product shade takes off, it’s wise to add to the line as there’s already a pre-existing clientele waiting. Charlotte Tilbury did just that! And as I took on making a list of the additional launches, I’m realizing this is an entire universe that has become a brand within the brand.

MISSING PILLOW TALK PRODUCTS
If there are any other products that I’ve missed, please let me know! After compiling this list, I have realized that Pillow Talk is like the end boss of a video game. You think you’re done and then another obscure limited edition lipstick pops up. I will keep updating this list as I come across other items.

WHAT I USED IN THIS VIDEO:
Despite this being a Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Collection breakdown, there were a few other products I used in this video. Most of those were in the beginning as skincare but there are a couple others peppered throughout to fill in any gaps such as mascara etc.
SKIN PRODUCTS USED
I prepped my skin with the luxurious Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream which makes my need for primer obsolete. Then I followed that by moisturizing my lips since there were several lipsticks I wanted to test out. Sadly, the Coconut Lululemon lip balm that I loved has been discontinued. Truly a crime!

FACE PRODUCTS USED
Truthfully, I’ve never tried a Charlotte Tilbury foundation before. My default preference is a skin tint or a very thin foundation. The IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ SPF 50 is a happy medium, if not a little more coverage than I’d typically go for. With that said, it’s not particularly heavy and I do like it for everyday use.
The Bobbi Brown foundation is sadly much too light for me at this point but the concealer duo is a good match. Creamy Concealer kit features a *creamy concealer* with an accompanying powder. I use the shade Warm Ivory and I hope they never discontinue it!
[Sadly, they have discontinued it. This is all my fault.]
In addition to that, I attempted to use the Hollywood Contour Wand with better results this time around unlike in my previous Full Face post. The uncleanable applicator is still quite off putting in my opinion. That cream contour was followed by the classic Filmstar Bronze & Glow palette which has continued to be a mainstay in my routine.

CHEEK TO CHIC BLUSHES IN PILLOW TALK
I adore the formula of these blushers, somehow they are the creamiest powder blush with just the right amount of pigment. The Pillow Talk shade was meant for lips as well as cheeks because both the Original and Intense blush shades are gorgeous. Original Pillow Talk is a glowy dusty rose whereas Intense has a rich darker rose hue.

PILLOW TALK BEAUTY LIGHT WAND
I wish I didn’t love the actual liquid as much as I do because the Beauty Light Wand’s are a terrible design. Since originally posting this, I have come to realize that these go bad much quicker than they can be consumed. In addition to that, the plush applicator cannot be cleaned easily. The design also wastes a lot of product soaking into the fuzzy applicator tip. BUT DEAR LORD is the glow gorgeous. The Beauty Light Wand in Pillow Talk (Original) was the shade I used as I think the other one would have been too dark for me while I was filming this in the dead of winter.
I would love to see these in a different format like a dippable doe foot that you could wash if need be. Suggesting a pump would be ludicrous because it doesn’t feel on brand for Charlotte nor does a squeeze tube. Dipping doe fit it is!

BROW PRODUCTS USED
My disappointing natural eyebrows come to life with the assistance of Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil in shade 2.5 (neutral blonde) – the best match of all time! It’s a waxy buildable pencil that creates the illusion of hair and lasts throughout the day. In addition to the waxy pencil, I use Charlotte’s Legendary Brow gel as well to hold it all in place.
EYE PRODUCTS USED
Products I used on my eyes that weren’t part of the CT PT Collection was BareMinerals Lashtopia Mascara (a favourite). As well as some Sephora Collection false lashes, and the Eye Cheat pencil that Charlotte has also discontinued.
Now onto the more exciting products: the eyeshadows!

PILLOW TALK INSTANT EYESHADOW PALETTE
Like most things I fall in love with, the Pillow Talk Instant Eyeshadow Palette has been discontinued. Though, this time I should have known better as the website clearly listed it as “limited edition.” With the sloth like way I go through eyeshadow, I still have this palette.
The 12 shades are divided into four groupings that my younger self would have approved of having grown up with Barbie’s whose main feature were going from day to night! (It’s even funnier now since I work from home and often refer to my housecoat as my “business blazer.” The coziest executive that there ever was!) The groupings are Day, Desk, Date, and Dream. The latter three shades look like they were the precursor inspiration for the Walk of No Shame line that was to follow.

PILLOW TALK LUXURY EYESHADOW PALETTE
There are two Luxury Eyeshadow Palette – Pillow Talk Original Quad and the Pillow Talk Palette of Pops Quad.
OG PT EYESHADOW QUAD
This quad contains two mattes, a satin, and a shimmer. I find that all the shades aside from the shimmer to be very blendable. The shimmer is a little too glittery adjacent for my tastes but on a special occasion I could see it coming in handy. Worth noting that when I’ve had issues with CT quads arriving with a broken shadow, it has been exclusively the shimmer in the left hand corner.
PALETTE OF POPS EYESHADOW QUAD
While I find the colours absolutely stunning, this is not a palette I would have purchased on account of me not using powder shimmer eyeshadows often if at all. If you are a glitter queen that loves Pillow Talk, this is for you.

PILLOW TALK PENCIL EYELINER
Not going to lie, I was a little skeptical about a reddish / burgundy eyeliner however, my mind was changed. I think the Pillow Talk eyeliner shade is much more wearable than black after having tried it. At first I thought the formula was bad because the pencil wasn’t gliding nicely. After sharpening and warming it up a bit, the liner applied without drag.
After this video, a liquid jewel Pillow Talk eyeliner was released but I believe it was part of a holiday collection and has since been discontinued.

LIP PRODUCTS USED
Can one visit the Charlotte Tilbury website without coming across a new format of Pillow Talk? Lip glosses, lipsticks, mattes, satins, sparkles, and tints. I can hardly keep up with the vast array of formulas that come and go with every holiday season. Fortunately, there are the classics that we can always count on.
PILLOW TALK LIP CHEAT LINERS
My gateway into the world of Pillow Talk began with a gifted Lip Cheat Liner. Your lips but better is a phrase that’s thrown around all too cavalierly but in this case, it was true for me. It was the perfect base shade for all my lipsticks, I even wore it as a colour on it’s own. Since then, they’ve added three more shades (Fair, Medium, and Intense) to the roster.
FAIR
I cannot speak on fair, as I’ve yet to try the shade.
MEDIUM
The pencil looks much darker than the actual shade. I would describe the medium as a deep rose, the colour I remember my Great Aunt’s lipstick left behind when she kissed my cheeks goodbye. It’s lovely.
INTENSE
This may be a deep cut, but hear me out. For the fans of NARS’ Velvet Matte Lip Pencils specifically in the shade Train Bleu, this deep reddy brown shade reminds me of that. [UPDATE: I found my old Train Bleu pencil and it is much more purple wine stained lips than I remembered. Pillow Talk Intense liner next to it looks straight up dark brown.]

PILLOW TALK LIPSTICKS
There is no way to discuss the collection without including the patient zero of the line: Pillow Talk Lipstick. You would be hard pressed to find someone even tangentially interested in makeup that has not heard of this lipstick shade. It’s everywhere, haunting us all like a delicious meal we can only afford on occasion.

FAIR
Same as before, I haven’t tested it yet.
ORIGINAL
A magical matte that seemingly goes with everything I wear? There’s nothing worse than falling in love with an expensive beauty product but it’s gorgeous. The formula is comfortable to wear and easy to apply. Mattes can be hit or miss with how dry they are, which makes for an unpleasant experience wearing it throughout the day.
MEDIUM
Like the original, it is also a matte finish. The colour is similar to the liner though not quite as deep rose. If the original is “your lips but better” the medium is adding a bit of flavour to that. Not your typical “nude” shade.
INTENSE
Deviating from the Matte Revolution formulas, this K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick is a satin finish and looks like a shade that a 90s it girl would have worn.

PILLOW TALK LIP LUSTRE
The Lip Lustre is a liquid lipstick with a gloss finish. I do wonder if it’s possible to get a similar effect by putting gloss over the matte lipstick. Side note, I’m surprised the product wasn’t called Lust-er or something like that.

PILLOW TALK SUPERSTAR LIPS
The Superstar lips formula is my most used of all the iterations. Not only is the packaging compact enough to live in a purse, but it’s also a shiny tint. If you don’t want to go full blown lipstick, then this is the best option in the lineup.

Pillow Talk Collection
There are quite a few items that make up the complete Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Collection so thank you very much for sticking with me throughout the whole post. I know it’s a lot to take in, and continue to take in as the Pillow Talk universe keeps on expanding unabated!
