Here is my Natural + Non-Toxic Skincare Favourites Part Two! Because one video wasn’t enough! (Feel free to check out Part One too.) Also for a complete breakdown of all the products I am ~currently~ using, keep scrolling down below. Aside from that, I would like to take a moment to acknowledge how much skincare I have and that it is ridiculous. Rest assured that I am fully aware of how absurd it is. Now without further ado….. 

Cleansers

When it comes to cleansers, I’m quite picky since my skin is extremely sensitive. Here are the ones I’ve been using / finished in the past while and adore!

OSEA Ocean Cleanser – gifted
I adore the scent of this one!

OMOROVICZA Thermal Cleansing Balm – gifted

BIOSSANCE Squalane + Antioxidant Cleansing Oil – gifted
This is my number one oil cleanser. It smells like NOTHING and works well taking off makeup. It hasn’t stung my eyes when I got a little carried away washing either.

INDIE LEE Brightening Cleanser – gifted
I was so sad when I finished this Indie Lee cleanser. Whatever alchemy is in this product makes my skin glow. Its lovely strawberry scent is so good I wish it were a perfume!

Exfoliators

WILDCRAFT Buff Face & Body Scrub – gifted
Normally I try to avoid physical exfoliants because they can be a bit too abrasive for my skin, however this wildcraft one feels like a very fine sand. It’s easy to control the level of exfoliation with it. And they’re made in Canada!

INDIE LEE Radiance Renewal Peel – gifted
This product has been discontinued but they do have a Radiance line now.

Toners

INDIE LEE COQ-10 Toner – gifted
This toner feels so deep cleaning I can’t believe its alcohol-free. It’s like the infinitely better version of Bonnebell’s 10-O-Six lotion I used to use back in my teen years. All the fresh feeling with non of the burn.

THAYERS Witch Hazel Rose Toner
I’ve been using this for many years, in fact, long enough to remember what their old packaging looked like. Spoiler – I liked their old bottles better. It’s also alcohol-free which I much prefer as I already live in a dry climate and don’t need to contribute to my dry skin further.

Facial Sprays

As I mentioned previously, I live in an extremely dry climate. Moisture in the prairies comes at a premium and despite running a humidifier in the winter, I need extra help. For that reason, I adore facial mists / spray / essence. They buy me time in between cleansing and the next skincare step.

HERITAGE STORE Rosewater + Glycerin Mist
Much like Thayers Witch Hazel, I’ve been buying the Heritage Store Rosewater + Glycerin spray for years and will probably continue to do so. I prefer their previous packaging that looked like it belonged in a 90s metaphysical store but I guess nothing lasts forever. Aside from health food stores, I often find this spray at Winners.

Masks

I know everyone is shifting into a real sheet mask phase, but I’m old fashioned and love a classic mask that you have to mix up like you’re a scientist OR a leave on overnight deal.

Don’t feel like doing your entire evening skincare routine? Just throw this on your face and call it good. Awaken with soft feeling skin with a slight brightness; that’s been my experience. It’s been my most used mask for a while now.

Random

These two items don’t really fit anywhere specific but they are used as a cure all in many ways. I love using the aloe vera for irritated skin or to help diminish scarring. The tea tree is awesome for zits!

Daytime Routine

My daytime routine has changed since my previous post – part one of this skincare journey.

DRUNK ELEPHANT Umbra Sheer™ Physical Daily Defense SPF 30 – gifted
I didn’t end up finishing this sunscreen because it didn’t work for me despite my best efforts. The texture felt heavy and the name “sheer” isn’t quite accurate.

JUICE BEAUTY Stem Cellular Vinifera Replenishing Oil – gifted

SEPHORA COLLECTION Brightening Eye Cream – gifted
Another thing I have discovered about myself is that I don’t enjoy eye cream. Along with my sensitive skin, my eyes are also just as delicate. This is just a me thing, there was nothing wrong with this eye cream.

DERMA E Vitamin C Concentrated Serum – gifted
PO DERMA Luminous Night Cream – gifted. It appears the brand Po Derma no longer exists. I remember this cream smelling like Pez.
OMOROVICZA Oxygen Booster – gifted. This is discontinued, they have other serums to replace it.
INDIE LEE I-Waken Eye Serum – gifted. I much prefer this eye cream to the Sephora one. It’s much more lightweight.

Nighttime Routine

I would like to note that I don’t use every single one of these products EVERY night but rather a combination of them. No one needs this many skincare products – keep it simple for what works for you!

THE WITCHERY Rose Drops Facial Elixir Oil – gifted. A rosy, multipurpose facial oil that I adore. And it’s made by my sister!
WILDCRAFT Regenerating Face Serum – gifted
INDIE LEE Squalane Facial Oil – gifted. Squalane oil is a product I must always have on hand. Either this one, or the Biossance version.
