Pumpkin Spice Outfit

PUMPKIN SPICE SEASON
We have arrived at Act 4 of 2024 which can also be referred to as * Pumpkin Spice Season *. Although I partake sparingly in the flavour, I do adore the colour scheme which is why I have dressed in a pumpkin spice inspired outfit.
Full disclosure, if I had a Whole Foods in my city, I would eat NOTHING but the 365 pumpkin pie ice cream sandwiches because they are a god tier frozen snack. Unfortunately for me the Whole Foods that was supposedly opening in Edmonton never came to be. Though the H Mart that occupies the space is a frequent haunt of mine.

INGREDIENTS FOR A PUMPKIN SPICE OUTFIT
There are a few key ingredients for a truly pumpkin spice outfit, first of which can be solved by answering one question: is it cozy? For a PSO to truly be authentic, it must be cozy. This outfit was cozy, though I think next time I would trade out the shoes for something more comfortable…. like a pair of burnt orange VANS Authentics I wore in a previous fall outfit post.

Another imperative ingredient is gourd coloured clothing items. Rather than go straight up pumpkin hued, I opted for a mustard coloured felt hat that matched a part of my plaid jacket I inherited from my namesake, Grandpa Sandy. A colour in the gourd family which also includes shades of green, is very pumpkin spice coded too.

A GOURDGEOUS COLOUR PALETTE
Please take inspiration from my gourd photos that I took at the ULTIMATE Pumpkin Spice Event, the Smoky Lake Pumpkin Festival. Where pumpkin enthusiasts gather to celebrate gargantuan gourds and worship at the altar of PS. They even sacrifice a car to the Gourd Gods by dropping corpulent pumpkins from the sky. It is a must attend event of the season.

This pose screams 2012 fashun blogger and I love it. It was all about the pigeon-toed slouch back in the day. I am henceforth picking that torch up once more and throwing it into regular rotation. You’ve been warned.

A PUMPKIN SPICE OUTFIT
Now that I’ve nailed the cozy country Pumpkin Spice Outfit, can someone please figure out how to mail me those ice cream sandwiches? Please and thank you. The province I reside in is without a single Whole Foods. 😭
