Joshua Tree is Heaven on Earth

There are very few places as magical as Joshua Tree National Park at sunset. I can say, without hesitation, that it’s one of my favourite places on earth. We drove around listening to The Doors and appreciated the scenery.  Staying at the Joshua Tree Inn is the only thing that would have made it more perfect. Here’s why Joshua Tree is Heaven on Earth.

KEYS VIEW

One of the best vantage points in the park is Keys View. The vista overlooks Palm Springs, the Salton Sea, and the San Andreas Fault. A true panoramic viewpoint. Not only is it stunning, but it’s very easy to get to. Unlike other lovely views, there’s a road right up to this one. This view alone is reason enough why Joshua Tree is Heaven on Earth!

OUTFIT DETAILS

The ultimate in bum travel clothes – a shredded band t shirt, denim shorts, and a deadpan demeanour. This casual lewk is the a day tripper special. VISITING JOSHUA TREE

If you run out of Things to do in Palm Springs, be sure to head over to Joshua Tree for the day. Even if you’re not interested in hiking, there’s wonderful spots to picnic and scenic vistas to be enamoured by. The teddy bear cholla cactus garden off of Pinto Basin Road is downright magical. Ever since My First Visit to Joshua Tree, I continue to conspire my next return before I’ve even left.
