Mac x Rocky Horror Picture Show
In celebration of MAC x Rocky Horror Picture Show and the first day of October, I decided to dress up as one of my favourite characters from the cult classic. Using the MAC Rocky Horror collab eyeshadow, lipstick and a bunch of eyeliner, I transformed into my version of Magenta (as well as Columbia in another post). Admittedly, I used watercolour pastels to whiten my face as well – that probably can’t get too great for skin but it certainly worked well!

Magenta Rocky Horror Costume
Of course I needed a proper costume to accompany the MAC Rocky Horror collaboration. I threw together a quick Magenta look with a dress I wear on a regular basis and a doily pinned to my head. I think it works.
My Columbia costume was slightly more complicated. Below is a smattering of the cosmetics I used to create this look – including the aforementioned water pastel crayons. Before you write me off as crazy, they’re amazing and I have no regrets.

Halloween Makeup Collaborations
My love of halloween themed cosmetics doesn’t just stop with this timely collab. I also found a few other Halloween Beauty products this year that I’m stoked about. Since posting this, there have been ever more cult movie makeup collaborations with other spooky films. Beetlejuice x NYX and Beetlejuice x Sally Hansen.

MAC x Rocky Horror
The MAC Cosmetics Rocky Horror collection, could not be more up my alley. MAC keeps killing it with their limited edition collections and this one is top shelf for me. Simple, streamlined, and completely reflective of the Rocky Horror IP. Though, I probably need to actually attend Rocky Horror this year; it’s been much too long. Naturally, the movie made my favourite not scary Halloween movie list post.
